The following students have earned the distinction of Dean's List at the Georgia Institute of Technology for Spring 2016.

Georgia Southern University recently recognized 1,340 students for excellence in academics on the Spring 2016 President's List. To be eligible for the President's List, a student must have at least a 4.0 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.

Georgia Southern University recently recognized nearly 2,600 students for excellence in academics on the 2016 Spring Semester Dean's List. To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must have at least a 3.5 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.

Samford University releases dean's lists after the close of the fall and spring semesters each academic year. To qualify for the dean's list, a student must have earned a minimum 3.5 grade point average out of a possible 4.0 while attempting at least 12 credit hours of coursework. Dean's List is the highest academic recognition given by the school at the end of each semester.

The university's spring commencement ceremonies were held May 6-8 for some 1,200 participants; in total, UNG conferred more than 1,500 degrees and certificates for spring semester.

The Georgia Southern University Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art presents "B.F.A. Senior Exhibition" May 2 - 6 in the University and Contemporary Galleries at the Center for Art & Theatre.This exhibition features work from senior 2D and 3D studio art majors, enrolled in the BFA Portfolio course taught by Gallery Director Jason Hoelscher, and pursuing their bachelor of arts degrees.

More than 120 undergraduate students presented their research at the Georgia State Undergraduate Research Conference (GSURC) on Wednesday, April 13. Students from a wide variety of disciplines shared their findings through oral presentations, posters, artistic displays and performances.

The 1913 Society - a student ambassador program established by the Office of the President - provides an opportunity for outstanding undergraduate students to serve as official hosts and goodwill ambassadors for the university.

Andy Andy Alcalá, a Georgia State University Honors College student, has been awarded a U.S. Department of State Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) to study Arabic in Madaba, Jordan.

The Honors College Ambassadors corps is composed of a diverse and dedicated group of outstanding Honors College students who desire to hone their leadership skills, while also contributing to the Honors College legacy. These student leaders serve as representatives of the Honors College at a variety of internal and external events.

At the Eighth Annual Scholarship Donor and Recipient Luncheon, 151 Georgia State Law students and their donors were recognized for their hard work and commitment to legal education.

Miami University awarded 932 degrees to students during fall commencement exercises Friday, Dec. 11, 2015, in Millett Hall. Miami University is a public university located in southwestern Ohio, offering more than 100 degree programs in humanities, science, engineering, business, education and fine arts.
